Arai is a Japanese company that designs and solely focuses on motorcycle helmets. The company was formed in 1926 by Hirotake Arai, who was originally a hat maker. As it's a family run business, just "good enough" is not an option for Arai. The family pride themselves in making the best performing helmet possible. The company only puts their logo on helmets that are up to their standards, when each helmet has been inspected at least five times by different quality inspectors. In every Arai shell you will find the signature of the man who made it.
Every single Arai helmet is hand built. To produce one Arai helmet takes approximately 18 man hours. Every Arai helmet is meticulously handmade by craftsmen and women who are active participants in Arai's mission to present the highest level of protection and quality. From the shell, to the paint, to the liner, the work is performed by hand by experienced; focused specialists.
