Rukka is known throughout the world for being one of the most advanced range of motorcycle clothing on the market. In 1950, Roger Störling founded the family business initially specialising in jogging gear. The company was originally called: 'AB Sportsbeklädnad Urheiluvaatetus Oy', but then decided to have a name change to Rukka Products in 1966 and in 1981, it simply became Rukka Oy, 'Rukka' being the founder's, Roger's, nickname.
In the product development process, Rukka closely cooperates with a multitude of various research and development institutions to create the perfect product. In active collaboration with suppliers such as Gore and DuPont, new materials are developed and their suitability for functional clothing is tested.
The entire range is today manufactured according to their own Defence and Comfort performance standards, meeting even the strictest criteria set for weatherproofing and riding comfort. Regardless of the weather, Rukka clothing is designed to perform, with rider comfort and safety as the forefront ideology.
